Where the prize necessitates travel and/or attending an event on a specific date, the winner must be available on the date(s) specified by the Promoter in the interaction information and no alternative dates will be available. Where the prize involves travel or accommodation on a date and/or to a destination to be chosen by the winner, the date and/or destination chosen is subject to availability and the Promoter reserves the right to determine a final date by which the prize must be taken.

Reasonable efforts will be made to contact a winner on the phone number provided when entering the competition or such other method of contact deemed appropriate by the Promoter in its sole discretion in the circumstances. Where the prize is time critical and a winner needs to be found before the time to take up the prize passes, the announcement on air or the interaction information will indicate the date when the winner will be contacted and the Promoter will contact such winner on the phone number (or other method of contact (if appropriate)) they provided, calling three times in a two-hour daytime period or as indicated in the interaction information. If the winner cannot be contacted or successful contact is not made within the fixed time period as specified or if they fail to provide an address for delivery of the prize or fail to meet any of the eligibility requirements or are otherwise unable to comply with the interaction terms and conditions, this may result in forfeiture of the prize and the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that entrant (without further liability to that entrant) and offer the prize to the next eligible entrant and thereafter until a winner is found.
Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 2:49PM So it’s the end of the pool stage of the tournament and later on this evening England start the ball rolling (sorry for the pun)in their semi fianl against the Netherlands, should be interesting. Hopefully if all goes well we will have Jon Beeden out here with us to provide us with his views of the games.
The press conference room was busy before today however as we reach the closing stages of the tournament more press are arriving. No worry for us as no one will steal our desk with all its equipment on but there is the hustle and bustle behind us where journalists fight for the best seat. Some of them like to crowd around our desk because of our nice tv screen that is closer for them.
Yesterday the tournament had a great crowd atmosphere, the best seen so far, particularly for the Belgium v Spain game. The Belgium’s seem to have a large following of the sport, not just in the crowd but in the press room also.
The later start today allowed us to have a better look around Moenchengladbach itself. Rather than just the wander down the road into what we thought was the centre. We acquired a map (very useful when traveling in foreign places) and drove to the centre, still not much to see or do and despite being 11am here, the shopping area was dead. Who knows maybe it comes to life at night.
Any way best get back to work the first game is not far off and things need to be set up for that.
Monday, August 22, 2011 at 2:30PM It's Day Three here in Moenchengladbach and the sun has deserted us. Two very hot days left many of us here in the Press Centre wilting. Not the evergreen Bill Colwill who I was chatting to at length first thing this morning. Amusingly, as we tried to remember the exact years of certain tournaments he mused that; “they all merge in to one these days…”
Today though, it’s fresher but wetter. Shame, as seven ceiling fans have just been installed, probably at great expense to the German organisers. Big up to them in regards to the cakes. For many years I’ve listened to those on TMS witter on about a lovely cake from Mrs Morgan of Glamorgan, but to experience free cake courtesy of the hosts was sublime. Shame the man from Dutch radio just got the last piece of marble cake though.
Last night was a slightly earlier finish as Vikki and I decided Irelands’ defeat to Belgium could wait until this morning to be edited. Vikki enjoyed a lie in whilst I got cracking at 7am. By 8am I was ready to upload to You Tube, discovering the windowsill in the bathroom to be the perfect place to get the best wi-fi signal.
Ireland’s men have just defeated the French with Ronan Gormley giving a fantastic interview following the match. The hosts are taking on Spain right now to try and book their place in Friday’s semi final.
Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 11:06AM So Day 1 was very busy as it always is at the start of the competition. Having left the stadium the night before with all cables plugged in we assumed we had a TV signal but there was no way to be sure. Arriving early doors on Saturday we found that in fact we had no TV signal! Well I say no TV signal, we had sound but we’re not making a radio show here. After some quick talks with the TV people we managed to get a convertor box…the last one! Then the pictures were coming through nice and clear.
Not much chance to see much of the hockey earlier on in the day but later as things began to get into place we got to watch some of the Germany vs Ireland game and then later on settle down for the women’s England vs Belgium. The day was swelteringly hot which made watching the hockey good, playing not so much.
